The block is ignition protected when the cover is securely in place, meeting ISO 8846 and SAE J1171 standards for use in gasoline engine compartments, making it ideal for marine and automotive applications. The single-side design allows for easier wire entry from one side, optimizing space and reducing footprint. Additionally, the insulating cover meets ABYC/USCG insulation requirements, ensuring safe operation in harsh environments.

Constructed with tin-plated copper buses and fuse clips, the Blue Sea 5046 fuse block is built for durability and long-lasting performance. It accepts both ring or snap fork type terminals, providing flexibility during installation. The block includes 8 write-on circuit labels, making it easy to identify each circuit. Designed for ease of use, the fuse block has a maximum amperage of 100A per block and 30A per circuit, with a maximum voltage rating of 32V DC. The block is mounted using #8 screws (M4), with a terminal stud torque of 24 in-lb (2.71 Nm) and screw terminal torque of 18 in-lb (2.03 Nm). Fuses are sold separately.
