This product is designed to combat bacterial growth in diesel fuel systems. Bacteria can be present in all diesel fuel, but they don't pose a problem unless they start multiplying uncontrollably. The main issue arises from the substances they release, which form a slimy-like substance that can clog fuel filters.
- Conditions for bacteria growth:
- Fuel becomes warm
- Water is present in the fuel
- Fuel has been stationary for a long period in the tank
- Recommended solution:
- Use the bactericidal agent Knock Down to prevent bacteria from reproducing and forming slime in your tank.
- Dosage recommendations:
- Preventive use: 50 ml per 1000 liters of diesel/EN590
- Heavy contamination: 400 ml per 1000 liters of diesel/EN590
