The Plastimo 61716 Comet is designed for emergency situations with enhanced visibility for rescue operations.
- The parachute-suspended red rocket is ejected and burns for 40 seconds at 30,000 candela.
- Instantly projects the payload to a height of 300 meters.
- Features a pull-wire ignition system.
WARNING:
- Distress signals and flares are safety products; they must be used with utmost care and only in emergencies at sea.
- Always point signals and flares outboard/downwind. Do not point at people.
- Do not use if damaged or dented. Do not use after the expiry date.
- Store in a dry place, easily accessible and away from heat sources.
- Read instructions carefully before use. All instructions for flares and distress signals are in English.
Safety Precautions:
- Wear protective gloves before pulling the ignition system.
- Never point a distress flare at a person.
- Hold the flare downwind at arm's length above the water.
- Do not look directly at the burning flare; turn your head away.
- Once burning is over, place it in a bucket of water to cool down. Keep it onboard until disposed of at a proper collection station.
- Never use a flare that has passed its expiry date.
