WARNING: Distress signals and flares are safety products that must be handled with utmost care and used only in maritime emergencies.
- Always point signals and flares outboard/downwind and never at people.
- Do not use if damaged or dented; adhere to expiry dates.
- Store in a dry, accessible place, away from heat sources.
- Read all instructions carefully; provided in English.
Safety Precautions:
- Wear protective gloves before pulling the ignition system.
- Never point a distress flare at people.
- Hold the flare downwind at arm's length above the water, pointing it outboard/downwind.
- Avoid looking directly at the burning flare; turn your head away.
- After use, place the flare in water to cool and retain it aboard until disposed of at the designated collection station.
