WARNING: Distress signals and flares are safety products that must be used with utmost care and only in emergencies. Always point signals and flares outboard/downwind, and avoid pointing at people.
- Do not use if damaged or dented.
- Do not use after the expiry date.
- Store in a dry place, easily accessible, and away from heat sources.
- Read instructions carefully before use; instructions are provided in English.
Safety Precautions:
- Wear protective gloves before pulling the ignition system.
- Never point a distress flare at people.
- Hold the flare downwind at arm's length above the water; point it outboard/downwind.
- Do not look at the burning flare, turn your head away.
- Once burning is complete, place the flare in a bucket of water to cool down and keep it on board until you take it back to a designated collection station.
- Do not use if flare is damaged or dented and never after the expiry date.
