Each fuel tank is its own biosphere. Diesel fuel is naturally unstable and forms sediments over time. As water enters the tank with the consumption of fuel through the air pipe, micro-organism contamination is always a threat. The drastic reduction of sulfur and addition of bio-components to diesel fuel in recent years have further reduced shelf life and increased fuel-related headaches.
To ensure engines or generators run reliably and efficiently on (bio)diesel, it is strongly recommended to install a fuel polishing system on board. Njord Absolute Diesel Polishing Systems are designed to bring and maintain fuel within specifications and meet the fuel cleanliness requirements of engine manufacturers. The system utilizes multi-pass filtration with a water absorber and absolute filter elements to achieve filtration below 5 microns.
The Njord Absolute Diesel Polishing Systems not only ensure optimal fuel quality but can also be used to transfer clean fuel from one tank to another, offering versatility and reliability on board yachts and in industrial settings.
