Our entire chain range undergoes galvanisation according to the EN ISO 1461 standard, ensuring a minimum 58 micron thickness to enhance durability. Rigorous testing in accelerated seawater environments guarantees consistent galvanisation quality. A specialized engineering process maximizes the adherence of the galvanisation to the metal, extending the chain's lifespan. Hot dip galvanisation with zinc provides robust protection.
In environments where marinas are exceptionally exposed to galvanic currents, which can accelerate chain deterioration, we recommend using mooring anodes (ref. 38266 & 38267). These anodes safeguard both the chain and the boat's metallic components.
