Selmar water treatment systems, which are certified according to MERS 227 (64) - there is no need for a sump. International treaties such as IMO/MARPOL prohibit the discharge of untreated black water on board 12 miles offshore. Only wastewater treatment as recommended by MERS 227 (64) can do so three miles offshore. Many cleaning systems use toxic substances such as chloride in order to disinfect effluents, but not these models. The Blue System is a fully automatic system, with a capacity of 2,500-22,000 liters per day. It uses a patented technology based on the principle of redox processes. The resulting solution does not carry a harmful biological load.
