The Plastimo 67257 - Textile Clutches Constrictor D10mm is a revolutionary new sailing deck hardware that is three times lighter and has twice the breaking load of conventional metal clutches. Using the principle of squeezing capacity offered by braided sleeves, this system provides extreme simplicity and efficiency for both racing and cruising.

Unlike traditional clutches, which press the line between two metallic parts, the Constrictor® utilizes an Aramid Technora® sock that squeezes the line as it comes under load. The more tension on the line, the more it holds. This means that the rope is not distorted, subject to wear or chafe, providing a longer lifespan for your equipment.

Releasing the rope is also simple, even under heavy load. By retracting the sleeve, the line is released without any pressure or distortion. The Constrictor® 10 has a break load of 2200 (Ø10) - 1200 (Ø8) daN, making it a reliable and durable choice for your sailing needs.
