Iris 100 is a versatile compass designed for both course and handbearing use. It can be mounted on a variety of watercrafts, such as sailboats, small crafts, and fast motor cruisers, due to its ability to absorb vibrations.

The compass can be installed in various positions, including vertical, horizontal, laying flat, and upside down. It can also be easily moved around the boat by clipping it onto a smooth-edge bracket, which is designed to prevent sail entanglement and finger injuries. The soft rubber casing provides added protection against shocks.

The compass also features a LED for even lighting and a longer lifetime. The LED will flash to indicate low battery status and can be operated by a standard 1.5 V battery (LR03 type). It is also designed to float in water and has a conical card with double reading (direct and horizontal).

The gimballed magnetic set ensures that the card remains perfectly horizontal, regardless of the compass's installation angle. It also includes 2 mobile lubber lines and the legendary Plastimo pivot and hard stone for accuracy and durability. The exclusive Vibration Absorber system further minimizes contact between the pivot and sapphire cup.

This compass is ideal for RIBs and fast motor cruisers and has been tested for resistance to vibrations by the French testing lab LNE (no.30 559 010). It also comes with a padded protection and assembly screws and has a 5-year warranty. An additional bracket (22477) can be ordered for extra compass stations when using only one compass.
