Weight: 6 kgOur complete chain range is galvanised as per EN ISO 1461 standard, which requires a minimum 58 micron galvanisation thickness. Our chain goes through regular testing in accelerated seawater environment to guarantee a regular galvanisation quality. A specific engineering process provides a better hold of the galvanisation on the metal, ensuring a longer lifetime. Hot dip galvanisation is engineered with zinc. There may be cases where a marina would be unusually exposed to galvanic currents, which could generate chain deterioration. In such cases, we recommend using mooring anodes (ref. 38266 & 38267), which will protect both the chain and the metallic parts of the boat.
