The Osculati 12.415.20 BMS Management System is designed for VICTRON Lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO4 or LFP) batteries with integrated cell balancing and cell monitoring. This system allows parallel connection of up to ten batteries and series connection of up to four batteries, creating a 48V battery bank with a capacity of up to 3000Ah. The BMS is essential for connecting the cell balancing/monitoring cables, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
The Battery Management System (BMS) offers multiple advantages, including preventing cell undervoltage, stopping the charge process in case of cell overvoltage, system shutdown in case of overtemperature, and carrying out cell balancing. It can supply up to 200 A with any CC load, including inverters and inverters/battery chargers. The BMS enhances safety, longevity, and performance of the lithium-iron-phosphate batteries.
Advantages of VICTRON LiFePO4 batteries include safety, lightweight and compact design (up to 70% more than traditional batteries), resistance to sulphation, improved service life with partial charging, wide operating temperature range, excellent charge cycle performance, low internal resistance, and high efficiency.
