The Victron Multiplus 24/1600/40 is an all-in-one power solution designed for demanding energy environments, such as yachts, RVs, and remote installations. It merges a 1600W pure sine wave inverter with a 40A intelligent charger capable of managing lithium and lead-acid battery systems. The unit supports a DC input range of 19 to 33V, tailored to 24V installations.

The advanced charger uses a 4-stage charging curve — Bulk, Absorption, Float, and Storage — to extend battery life and maximize performance. It includes an auxiliary 4A output ideal for small battery banks or starter batteries. With two AC outputs, it allows the connection of essential and non-essential loads. The second output is only active when shore or generator power is available, preventing battery drain from high-consumption devices like water heaters.

For system flexibility, this model supports parallel and three-phase operation. Up to six units can be connected in parallel, and three identical models can be configured for three-phase output. Victron’s PowerControl dynamically limits AC input current to prevent overloads, while PowerAssist bridges short-term power deficits by drawing from the battery bank. The system returns to charging mode once the peak passes.
