The Victron Multiplus 12/1600/70 delivers a seamless integration of pure sine wave inverter functionality and high-performance battery charging, all in one compact, rugged unit. With a 12V DC input range of 9.5–17V, this model is ideal for off-grid, marine, and mobile installations where reliability and efficiency are critical. It is compatible with both lithium and lead-acid battery chemistries.

The 1600W inverter generates stable 230V AC output (±2%), while the intelligent charger provides a 4-stage charging profile — Bulk, Absorption, Float, and Storage — delivering 70A to the main battery bank plus a 4A auxiliary output. Two AC outputs allow for load prioritization: the secondary output is active only when connected to shore or generator input, ideal for non-essential loads like boilers.

With built-in PowerAssist, the system supports high instantaneous power demand by supplementing with battery power. PowerControl helps prevent overloads from limited AC sources by dynamically adjusting the charging rate. Expandability is supported through parallel and three-phase operation, with up to six units connectable in both modes.
