The Osculati 14.263.02 VICTRON Cyrix-I Dual Battery Charger is a powerful relay equipped with a micro-processor that automatically connects batteries in parallel when one of them reaches the preset voltage and separates them when the voltage drops below the FLOATING level. The Cyrix-I is an excellent alternative to diode separators as it eliminates voltage drop issues. In a traditional setup, the alternator is directly connected to the starting battery, while the service battery and bow propeller are combined with the starting battery via the Cyrix-I. When the Cyrix-I detects that the starting battery is charged, it activates, allowing other batteries to charge in parallel. It monitors the voltage of both batteries and activates if, for instance, the service battery is being charged. This intelligent relay system ensures efficient and reliable charging for multiple batteries in marine or automotive applications.
