Osculati 14.263.02 - Victron Cyrix-I Dual Battery Charger 230Ah
The Victron Cyrix-I 230A is a microprocessor-controlled relay designed for high-current dual battery systems. It automatically connects batteries in parallel when a charge voltage is detected and disconnects them when voltage falls below a floating level. Unlike traditional diode isolators, the Cyrix-I introduces no voltage drop, ensuring efficient charging and energy usage.
In typical configurations, the alternator charges the starter battery directly. The Cyrix-I then links the service battery (and optionally other components like a bow thruster battery) to the starter battery once sufficient voltage is detected, allowing all connected batteries to charge simultaneously. The device monitors voltage on both sides, activating even when the service battery is being charged independently.
