The Osculati 14.263.01 VICTRON Cyrix-ct Dual Battery Charger is a sophisticated relay system designed to manage the charging of dual batteries in marine or automotive applications. Utilizing a microprocessor, this relay automatically connects the batteries in parallel when one of them reaches a preset voltage, ensuring efficient charging. Conversely, it disconnects the batteries when the voltage drops below the FLOATING level, preventing over-discharge.
Cyrix-ct relays offer significant advantages over diode separators, as they eliminate voltage drops. In a typical setup, the alternator is directly linked to the starting battery, while the service battery and auxiliary equipment are connected to the starting battery via the Cyrix-ct relay. This configuration allows for seamless charging and power distribution.
When the Cyrix-ct detects that the starting battery is fully charged, it activates, allowing the other batteries to charge in parallel. It continuously monitors the voltage of both batteries and activates as needed, ensuring optimal charging performance. The relay's compact design, measuring 46x46x80 mm, makes it easy to install in various applications.
