Parker 660R-RAC-02 - Marine Fuel Filter Water Separator
No matter how carefully gasoline or diesel is handled, contamination in the form of dirt, sludge, or water will inevitably find its way into your marine vessel’s fuel tank. Modern engines, with fuel injection at over 36,000 psi and injector tolerances measured in microns, demand superior filtration to prevent damage, reduced efficiency, and injector breakdown. The Racor Marine Spin-on Series Fuel Filter Water Separator, represented by the Parker 660R-RAC-02, offers maximum protection by efficiently removing contaminants such as water, silica, sand, dirt, and rust from marine diesel and gasoline engines.
The filter's mounting head and body are protected with a durable electrostatically-applied powder coating, ensuring superior corrosion resistance. Featuring a unique spin-on design, the filter is easy to service and includes a reusable clear engineered plastic or metal contaminant collection bowl with a self-venting drain or metal plug. Filters can be mounted on-engine or remotely, with hand-operated fuel priming pumps for easy replacement and air purge during service. When maintenance is required, only the filter element is replaced, while the bowl and drain plug are reused. Water-in-fuel (WIF) sensor upgrades are available for diesel applications, alerting operators to drain accumulated water from the bowl.
All Marine Spin-on Series Fuel Filter Water Separators utilize Racor’s high-efficiency Aquabloc® engineered media, repelling water and removing solid contaminants from fuel at 98% efficiency of their micron rating. Depending on the product selected, three different micron ratings are available for purchase: 30 micron, 10 micron, and “2” micron. Each rating serves specific purposes, extending the life of on-engine filters, capturing more contaminants, and providing maximum water removal and filtration to protect modern injection systems.
Racor Marine Spin-on Series Fuel Filter Water Separators use Aquabloc® media to reliably remove dirt and water from diesel and gasoline. Pleated, corrugated, and arranged for high water rejection and long service life, the Aquabloc® media ensures dry, clean motor fuel is delivered to your engine. Clear bowls in gasoline systems are a routine inspection item, and gasoline filters used in enclosed locations should utilize a metal bowl. The filter is available with UL certification and meets ABYC, ASTM, ISO, and many other global standards for filters used in marine engine rooms.
Designed for marine power generation and propulsion, this filter is suitable for diesel and biodiesel engines as well as gasoline engines. It offers exceptional water removal, prevents hard particles in air, protects against costly injector damage, and increases the operational life of downstream filters. The high-efficiency Aquabloc® media helps OEMs’ diesel engines adhere to strict government emission standards. Corrosion-resistant construction ensures durability against water collection, alcohol blended fuels, exposure to harsh additives, salt spray, or UV light.
Features include water-in-fuel (WIF) sensor upgrades for diesel applications, a reusable clear plastic or metal collection bowl with a self-venting drain, metal bowl units meeting 33 CFR and USCG regulations for inboard-powered boats, and replacement cartridge elements with high dirt-holding capacity. The filter also comes with corrosion-resistant coatings, gasket, and o-ring materials designed for diesel and gasoline use. Various port sizes and the option of a hand primer are available on selected models.
